# Prop-firm directory

Compare prop firms, their rules, payout terms and current deals in one place.

The prop-firm directory lists the firms we track, with the rules that matter to a multi-account trader. You can browse, filter, open a firm's detail page or compare two firms side by side. It lives at `tradesurge.co/prop-firm`.

## What each firm page shows

| Name                   | What it means                                                                       |
| ---------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Challenge rules** | Profit target, daily drawdown, maximum drawdown and minimum trading days per phase. |
| **Drawdown type** | Whether limits are static or trailing, and on balance or equity. |
| **Payout terms** | Profit split and how often you can withdraw. |
| **Copy, bots and API** | Whether the firm allows copy trading, automated trading and API access. |
| **Confidence** | How recently and how reliably we verified the record. |

## Compare two firms

Pick any two firms to see their rules in one table. This is the fastest way to decide where your next account should go.

## Deals

The deals page lists current discount codes and promotions. Some outbound links are referral links.

## Why copy and bot policies matter

If you plan to run one strategy across several firms, the firm's copy and automation policy decides whether you can. TradeSurge reads the same data inside the Platform and refuses copy or autotrade where a firm forbids it.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Most records are marked low confidence while we re-verify them. Firms change rules often. Always read the firm's own terms before you buy.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.tradesurge.co/free-tools/prop-firm-directory.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
